St Mary the Virgin, Fawsley

The medieval village of Fawsley has long since disappeared but the villagers have left us with the tiny parish church of St Mary The Virgin which they built in 1206. These days Fawsley is home to Fawsley Hall, for centuries the home of the Knightley family after which the benefice is named, but now a prestigous hotel, spa and wedding venue (Fawsley Hall Hotel) set in an estate landscaped by Capability Brown. Although only 29 people still live in Fawsley we still hold regular services in our little church. See more about the services and its history on our website: Fawsley Church
