Baptisms and Weddings

If you live within the parish where you wish to arrange a baptism, it is very straightforward. Please download the application form on this page and contact the Churchwarden to arrange a date and time (See people page).

If you live elsewhere, you will need the permission of the parish in which you live.  You will also need to explain what your connection with our parish is.  In most cases, we believe this will be straightforward too. Then you can contact us and proceed to arrange a date and time.

There are certain criteria which you must fulfill to be eligible to marry in one of our churches.  These are set nationally. In most cases, a way can be found. If you live in one of our parishes, this entitles you to marry in the parish church anyway. For detailed information on the legal requirements, please see Your Church Wedding.

Obviously, if one of you is a foreign national, things may get a bit more complicated but issues are often not insurmountable. Don’t forget, if we are not able to conduct the legalities of marriage under Church of England rules, it is probably possible for you to marry at a registry office and then we can organise a wonderful thanksgiving and blessing service which resembles the marriage service without the legal bit.

Please find on this page a downloadable file with an application form for getting married in one of our parishes. There are also individual booklets available to download on each parish page with details specific to that church and it's weddings. For example, when considering one of our churches for your wedding please remember that both Fawsley and Charwelton are in fields and are not accessible during winter months.
